Music Festival Hits High Note

The Starfish in the Park music festival raised over £5,000 to help fund the long running music project. 28 bands performed on the day including special guests Ex Starfish member Chippy Mobbs, Bring Back the Wolf, Caburn and the Dychotics.

Organisers hailed the event, held at the Paddock Fields Lewes, as a huge success. Starfish Chairperson Steve Franklin Said “We are thrilled that so many people came to support the project. The event had a lovely feel and our young bands were a credit to Starfish. I was overwhelmed by the support from local musicians and bands that jumped at the chance to help the project out”.

The event would not have been possible without the all parents and friends of Starfish, so a big thank you to you all we are eternally grateful.

Starfish parent Matt page marshalled a small army that worked from dawn and into the night to set up, run stalls and pack down the site. Thank you to you all too! Matt even had the energy to get up and perform with his band ‘The Heavy Note’s.

The Star of the show has to be Lex on his magic keyboard who took us all by surprise and treating us to his own funky tunes.
