Starfish Outreach Project
Starfish is appealing to community groups and statutory organisations to submit proposals for music making workshops.
Who?
For young people (9- 21) who may not have access to music making opportunities.
- To supplement existing youth inclusion programmes.
- Divert young people who may be at risk from anti-social behaviour.
- To give training and advice to enable new music projects to develop.
What?
We can deliver contemporary music programmes to suit individual groups of young people. The length of the programme is up to you - one-day workshops or programmes lasting up to 6 sessions.
This includes:
- Live bands
- Singing workshops
- music-making with computers
- mixing decks
- percussion workshops
- karaoke
Why?
We believe that music can bring out the best in people. We want to make sure that positive benefits of music making are available to as many young people as possible.
Where?
Anywhere within the Lewes District we come to you. In most cases we will supply all the equipment.
Cost?
Starfish youth music is a non-profit making community organisation. This means that we can deliver programmes at a minimal cost-and in certain cases subsidise the programme.
Before sending in your proposal:
- Consult with the group of young people that the programme is aimed at.
- Find out what kind of music making opportunities they would like to receive.
- Decide the length of the programme and when you would like it to take place.
When you submit your proposal explain why you would like Starfish Outreach to come to you and how it would benefit your client group.
